A system of cofres by category, bound like the spines of a library. Vinegars and Oils, Pickles and Preserves, Sauces and Dressings, Artisan Sweets, Wines, each a leather-bound volume that can be gifted alone or collected as a full set.
The idea is deliberately incremental: give one volume this year, add another the next, and the collection builds into a shelf worth keeping.
All packaging materials recyclable in standard household streams.

The Producer
Zales & Rego - Alcorcón, Madrid
The line starts in a botica in Mondoñedo, Galicia, where remedies, conserves and spices once shared the same shelf. Alonzo Rego carried the trade to Cádiz in 1776, then across the Atlantic to Veracruz in 1795. In 1888, Don Ismael Rego y Salcedo gave the house its formal name. Seven generations later, Zales & Rego returns to the old world, composing and selecting from a workshop in Alcorcón, Madrid: compose, select, preserve the excellent.

The Process
One volume this year. The shelf builds itself.
Each category in the house catalogue gets its own leather-bound volume, spined and labelled like a library set. A recipient can be given a single volume or the full five, and because each is composed à la carte, the collection can keep growing year over year rather than arriving finished all at once.
